Who We Are

Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory

The Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory is a vibrant center for musical studies which opened in 2007. It comprehends music rooms where students have courses in modern and classical music, a recording studio, organizes events for national and international artists and creates social projects to empower the Nepali community through music and art.

Students choose from among a variety of courses including applied lessons in various instruments, music arranging, improvisation, jazz and Hindustani music theory and history, ear training and electronic music production. A comprehensive mix impossible to find elsewhere in the country.

Our vision is to provide the highest quality music education, so our students can achieve their fullest potential as artists, leaders, and global citizens.

‘Uniting People with Music’ is our motto. Quality, innovation and the improvement of the population through the exchange of cultures and experiences in the arts world is our first value.
