Nirakar Yakthumba(Nepal)
It's all about the groove' that is what Nirakar bassist of 1974 AD and Stupa feels. Influenced by bass greats like James Jamerson 'Motown Records', Franscisco Rocco Prestia 'Tower of Power' and Jaco Pastorious. He believes that the key factor behind any great rock, funk, jazz or any style band is a tight steady rhythm section on top of which soloist can ride their flights of fancy. Nirakar loves to listen to and play all types of music. He also studied various Nepali hand drums and the bamboo flute at Bhaktapur Music School. Nirakar has traveled to Hong Kong, India, Qatar, UK, Australia and the USA to play and study different styles of music.
