Shreeti Pradhan(Nepal)
From a facilitator to a trainee program presenter and a corporate office assistant, Shreeti finally chose where she desired to be. With more than a decade of avid attachment with music, Shreeti has been singing/song-writing since the age of eleven although the radio was not a new thing for her at that age when she had already made voice endorsements in many commercial advertisements and radio awareness programs from the very early age of five. Her mother, being a senior news reader/editor at the Radio Nepal, would take her to the studios every now and then, however her genuine likeness for music started at the age of eleven when she was one of the consolation prize winners at the National Children’s Song Competition, 1999 with the song that she wrote and composed all by herself about Child Rights.
Despite of proper music education, Shreeti was determined to fulfill her dreams of becoming able to sing and write songs on her own which later led to many musical performances around Kathmandu city. Till date, she has performed in more than 30 big and small concerts and is musically maturing with each one. Now at the age of twenty two, Shreeti is a Western Vocal Instructor at the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory where she recently completed her Western Vocals Teacher Training Program with her mentor Marloes Oudeman from The Netherlands.
Also allied with the band ‘Night’, she has had a diverse performing and recording experiences from vocals and narration to the playing of different Nepali Folk instruments. For her, the leading treasure of being passionately involved in this field holds learning different kinds of music from musicians all around the world and getting to collaborate with them during performances. Cherry Franklin(UK), Biata(Germany), Sachal Vasandani (New York), Marloes Oudeman(The Netherlands) are some of the names whom she has had a chance to perform with.
