Manoj Kumar KC (Nepal)

Manoj is best known as the lead guitarist and keyboardist of one of Nepal's most successful rock bands, 1974AD. His diverse musical interests include Eastern and Western Classical music, blues, funk, electronic and jazz.Manoj has performed with accomplished musicians from around the world including Jessie van Ruller, Richard Hardy (Dave Matthews Band), Carol King, HFT, Jim Surley and Frank (Jefferson Airplane) among others. He has toured the US, UK, Australia, Germany, Belgium, South Korea, Thailand, India, Qatar and, of course, his native Nepal.
Manoj was nominated as the "best music programmer/arranger 2006" by Image Music Awards.Manoj has produced music for popular Nepali artists such as Nabin K. Bhattarai, Nima Rumba, Sugam pokharel, Deepesh Bhattarai, Sabin Rai, Adrian Pradhan, Phiroj Shyangden, Mausami Gurung, Prasna Shakya, Saroj Dutt, Sukmit Gurung, Sanjeev Singh, Sanjeev Pradhan, etc. He also scores movies and documentaries and has composed jingles and station IDs for Nepali TV and radio stations. -

Coleton Paskert brings over a decade of extensive multimedia industry experience to the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory. He is well versed in the arts of recording, mixing and mastering for musical acts, live sound reproduction, editing and post production for radio and television, as well as sound design and field recording for motion pictures.
Coleton spent his early years intimately involved in the burgeoning Midwestern music movement centered in Des Moines, Iowa during the mid to late 90’s. Having a hand in everything from promotion and merchandising to tour management and road crewing, his credibility within the scene grew exponentially over time.
In 1999 he enrolled in Central Campus’ Broadcast Radio and Television Production course of study. During this time he would earn distinction among his class, receiving awards for artistic vision and public notoriety for “The Eclectic Company,” a weekly radio show which won local publication Cityview’s major metropolitan area survey of the best radio program for both of the years the broadcast aired.
Coleton’s initial foray into professional media production was in 2001, when he began working for the ABC News Network as a master control engineer and multimedia operator. His duties included editing news dailies and commercials, recording and broadcast of syndicated programs, equipment repair and maintenance as well as ensuring that Federal Communication Commission regulations for broadcast television were met while providing a first rate professional appearance for the television station.
In 2004 he received his degree from the acclaimed Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Arizona where he studied under such notable professionals as:
-Robert Brock (Apple Computers advisory board, textbook writer for Logic)
-Kevin Becka (technical editor for Mix magazine)
-Tony Nunes (recording engineer for Ravi Shankar)
-John Barry (composer and arranger for Hal Leonard Publishing)
-Jeff Harris (senior fellow of A.E.S. and voting member for the Grammys)
-Keith Morris (founder of ESP Sound and Lighting)
-Jeff Thomas (Grammy winning engineer for Quincy Jones)After attending CRAS he moved to Chicago, Illinois to fulfill his dream of collaborating with talented musicians and producers to create great recordings. In his time with RaxTrax Recording and as a freelance recording engineer, Coleton had the pleasure of working with many great producers including:
