Foundation in Music

This course is designed for students from beginner to intermediate level. We provide private lessons on Voice, Guitar, Piano/Keys, Violin, and Bass. Students will have 1 private and 2 theory classes in a week.

The course consists of 4 levels of studies, each level is given 4 months of time. It is constructed in a way that will make students understand their level and the syllabus they are expected to cover per level/grade. Students will have to pass through examinations conducted at the end of every level facing 3 juries a year. After the completion of this course, students will be able to go for a more advanced course which is Higher Diploma in contemporary and Jazz music or Pop/rock. 

Higher Diploma

Higher Diploma in Jazz & Contemporary music

This program is a pre-bachelors course for students who want to pursue a career in Jazz and Contemporary music to discover an artistic voice, develop the ability to work with other musicians and grow their musical knowledge and technique. 
The program details are as follows:

  • 7 -9 hours per week 

  • 4 semesters (4 - 5 months each) 

  • Course Outline: 

  • Private coaching 

  • Music theory and application/ arranging and composition 

  • Ear training/ sight singing 

  • Improvisation 

  • Keyboard studies/ instrumental labs 

  • Ensembles/ bands 

  • Music appreciation 

  • Music business and marketing 

 

The students will be mentored by national and international faculty with a great deal of experience in the Jazz and Contemporary music field. They will also have access to a number of masterclasses and workshops by acclaimed international artists. 

Higher Diploma in Pop/Rock music

This program is for aspiring musicians that are looking to find their voice in the pop/rock industry that Nepal thrives on. The program details are as follows: 

  • 1-year part-time study 

  • 6-7 hours per week 

  • 2 semesters (4 - 5 months each) 

  • Course Outline 

  • Private coaching 

  • Music theory 

  • Ear Training/Sight-singing/Choir 

  • Ensembles/Bands 

  • Songwriting/Arranging/ Producing 

  • Keyboard studies (instrumental labs) 

  • Music business and marketing 


The students will be mentored by leading Nepali artists and bands such as 1974 AD, Jindabaad, The Shadows, Albatross, Joint Family Collective, Rohit John Chettri and Mukti and Revival.
