Bhintuna Rajbhandari

Bhintuna Rajbhandari was introduced to music by her mother, who always encouraged her to sing, and also enrolled her in dance classes. While she was in school, she had an opportunity to record a couple of Nepali kidssongs , composed by her music teacher. She also participated in many cultural dance programs.

After completing high school, she started taking Vocal and Music Theory lessons at Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory (KJC). Later on, she worked on the administrative staff. While working there she had the opportunity to attend Music Workshops, Vocals and Piano lessons from International visiting teachers and Artists around the world.

In 2014, she attended the Teachers Training Course on Music for Kidsgiven by Ms. Albertina Barceló ,a specialist in music education( Spain). This course was a  milestone for her career, as Bhintuna got more involved in music and music education. After the earthquake of 25th April 2015, she became one of the main teachers involved in Healing People with Music, relief project organized by KJC, which gave free lessons to kids in various schools, orphanages and relief camps.

Currently she is working as the head of the Music for Kids Department at KJC, where she teaches Music and Movementto children from ages 3 to 12. She has also  been the coordinator of the Music Camps at KJC since 2015.
