Hendrik Müller
Hendrik Müller, born in 1986 in Detmold Germany, began his musical carrier at the age of 6 when he started getting classical piano lessons. With 14 he began taking classical double bass lessons and started to join the „Detmolder Youth Orchestra“ as well as the local youth Big Band. Still the piano was considered for him as his main instrument.
During his stay as an exchange student in the USA in 2003/04 he discovered his fascination for jazz.
In 2010 Hendrik began to study jazz double-bass and electric-bass at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. In 2016 he finished his master of music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
There he became a very active part of the local jazz scene and a member of several international projects that are active also beyond the borders of the Netherlands such as the „Daahoud Salim Quintet“, “Maarten Voortman Quintet” and “Mehmet Polat & Embracing Colours“.
